Staff Selection Commission will conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) and Sepoy in NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau). A computer-based test is expected to be held in January 2023.
The SSC Constable GD recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination and Document Verification. For each selection phase, the commission will release SSC GD Admit Card. The relevant link will be activated on the official portal at least one week before the exam date.
The commission will be filling up a total of 24369 vacancies of General Duty Constables in various defence forces. Online application forms were invited from the eligible candidates from 27 October 2022. The last date to submit online application forms was 30 November 2022.

SSC Constable GD Exam Pattern
- A computer-based test will be conducted for SSC GD Constable posts.
- The Computer-based examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each.
- The questions in the Computer Based Examination will be of Matriculation level.
- All the questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
- The dates of examinations will be informed to candidates only through the website of the Commission.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
