No card required; Withdraw cash from ATMs by scanning the UPI code ;
How to do it.
Debit card is the primary way to withdraw money from an ATM. But recently NCR Corporation, the world's largest ATM supplier, has announced that it is upgrading its ATM machines across the country with the first Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) solution based on the UPI platform.
Users can withdraw money from ATM machines without using their debit or credit cards. Its biggest advantage is that you can withdraw money even if your card is forgotten, lost or damaged. For this you need to have any UPI based payment app like Google Pay, Phone Pay, Paytm linked to the account on your smartphone with internet connection.
How to withdraw money from ATM using UPI app?
1. Select ATM withdrawal option.
2. After this, select the UPI option on the ATM screen.
3. Now a QR code will appear on the screen of the ATM.
4. Open the UPI app on the mobile phone and scan the QR code.
5. After scanning the code, enter the amount you wish to withdraw in the app. Currently, the maximum withdrawal amount is Rs.5000.
6. Then enter the UPI PIN and withdraw the money.
